Growing Up Hermitage
Step behind the scenes at Hermitage Farm for a rare look at the earliest chapters of a Thoroughbred’s life. Guests will enjoy light cocktails and hors d’oeuvres before a guided hay wagon tour of the farm, where you’ll meet our 2026 foals and watch yearlings preparing for the fall sales. The afternoon concludes with a special foal parade and Q&A with our farm team.

Get ready to rumble at Hermitage Farm on April 16th at 6 p.m. for SOM SMASH: A Three-Way Tannin Takedown! In this electrifying, boxing-inspired showdown, three elite wine experts—Scott Freese, the certified sommelier from Nouvelle Bar & Bottle; Ashley Towning, with over 15 years of shaping Louisville’s cocktail scene; and Audrey Abston, a Level 1 Court of Master Sommeliers candidate—will battle to pair the perfect wine with each surprise course. Under the guidance of Hermitage Farm Events Director Curtis Conlon and Julie DeFriend of Skurnik Wines & Spirits, guests will enjoy a curated three-course dinner plus dessert, where every dish is revealed in real time and each competitor must scramble to select the ultimate pairing.
Earth Day Dinner at Hermitage Farm
Celebrate Earth Day at Hermitage Farm with an evening honoring Kentucky’s agricultural heritage and sustainable farming. The night begins with cocktails in the greenhouse and gardens, followed by a three-course farm-to-table dinner by the Barn8 culinary team in the Hayloft. Guests will enjoy live music from the McClain Family Band and a special reflection on the future of sustainable food systems.
