DESCRIPTION:Heads up\, gardeners! We have over 40 varieties of tomato plants going on sale later this month. Stop by Barn8 Restaurant from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday\, April 29th\, to pick out your selection! \nThe sale will be set up just outside of Barn8 Restaurant come rain or shine. The tomato plants encompass everything from cherry tomatoes\, beefsteak tomatoes\, slicing tomatoes\, paste tomatoes\, and low acid tomatoes—and in colors ranging from red\, orange\, and yellow to green\, black\, or white. \nOur tomato plants are grown from seed in our propagation greenhouse\, and are 100% pesticide free. The majority of plants for sale are indeterminate\, meaning that they will continue to grow\, flower\, and set fruit until killed by the first frost (typically in mid-October).  Come on out to see all that we have to offer.

Peggy Noe Stevens has worked in hospitality and the bourbon industry for over 30 years\, during which time she became the world’s first female Master Bourbon Taster. Just over 10 years ago she created the Bourbon Women Association\, and she worked as an originator for the development of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. In addition to serving as a spirit’s judge for the American Distilling Institute\, Stevens has authored multiple books on personal branding and beverage pairing\, the latest of which\, titled Which Fork Do I Use with My Bourbon?\, she’ll be signing at the event. She started her pop up restaurant in 2016\, after traditional Sri Lankan brunches in her home outgrew her dining room. Tuk Tuk Sri Lankan Bites menus include chef Sam‘s spin on Southern classics and riffs on her mother’s time-tested recipes. Tuk Tuk is one of the few representations of Sri Lankan cuisine in the United States and reflects Sam’s Sri Lankan upbringing in the American South. Her work has been featured in multiple national publications (including the cover of Food & Wine magazine) and she can be seen on PBS’s Somewhere South.
